Radcliffe Building Supplies Sold to Beesley & Fildes

When this local builders’ merchant came on to the market, we knew we could generate interest, as part of Business Partnership Corporate. Whilst marketed totally confidentially, Radcliffe Building Supplies was a well-known name in and around the Manchester area.  We targeted close competitors as well as regional players who wanted to get a foot hold in the city. The large, freehold site, with previous outline planning permission for housing, would also prove appealing.

The buyer from Liverpool, Beesley & Fildes, already had a number of different locations in the North West. This purchase suited their growth strategy and was ideal to help them serve their growing customer base in Manchester. A deal was quickly agreed and we began to manage the sale. Funding was confirmed and terms agreed.

Tracking down a missing asbestos report and re-confirming boundaries and access rights could have de-railed the deal, but we kept communications between buyer and seller open at all times to keep everything moving forward. The time to sale was 73 days.
